Platforms, direct files and streaming manifests

Support depends on what each source exposes at the time of the request. A listed platform is not a guarantee that every public or private URL will work.

Social and video platforms

Extractor can also process other public websites supported by its extraction engine. Platform changes can temporarily affect availability.

Direct and adaptive media

Direct video and audio file URLs.
HLS playlists when the stream is accessible.
DASH manifests when the stream is accessible.
Generic web pages from which the extraction engine can resolve media.

Common limitations

DRM-protected or encrypted media.
Private, deleted, expired or account-restricted posts.
Regional restrictions and source-side rate limits.
Formats that are no longer exposed by the source.

Quality availability

Compatible MP4 prioritises broadly playable codecs. Maximum quality selects the best streams made available by the source, without inventing a higher resolution. A 4K result is possible only when the source offers a 4K stream.
